Cosmetic

You can look good and have a healthy smile. Most people who are unhappy with the appearance of their teeth do not realize the numerous ways cosmetic dentistry can heal a smile. Cosmetic dentistry can correct crooked teeth, spaces between your teeth, stained or discolored teeth, chipped teeth, broken or missing teeth and having a “gummy” smile. We create a customized treatment plan for you, based on your age, goals and your level of financial comfort.

Porcelain Veneers

Imagine a whiter, more brilliant smile! Porcelain veneers are conservative, cosmetic dentistry that makes a dramatic difference in the appearance of your teeth. If you have chipped teeth, crooked teeth, gaps in teeth or dull or stained teeth, veneers may be the perfect solution for you. Your dentist will skillfully bond and shape thin strips of porcelain to your teeth, creating a straight, brilliant smile that enhances your appearance and your self esteem.

Invisalign

You can straighten your teeth without metal braces. Invisalign™ is an FDA approved system that uses clear, removable aligners to incrementally straighten your teeth. There are no uncomfortable brackets or wires, and because you remove the aligners to eat and drink, there are no food restrictions or problems with brushing or flossing.

Invisalign™ uses 3D computer imaging to map out your entire treatment plan in advance, allowing you to see what your teeth will look like before you begin treatment. Then, using the imaging, Dr. Craig will create a series of custom aligners that will move teeth incrementally. You will replace each aligner every two weeks with the next aligner in the sequence. Average treatment time from initial teeth position to brilliant, straight smile ranges from 9 to 15 months. The best part is: most people will never notice that you are undergoing treatment!

Tooth Whitening

Patients rave about our tooth-whitening program. Imagine removing surface stains and having the white smile you had when you were a teenager. We even offers a take-home whitening program to help patients uncover a clean, renewed smile!

Powerful, prescription-strength Opalescence® Take Home Whitening Gels are available with 10%, 10%PF, 15%PF, 20%PF, and 35%PF carbamide peroxide. Opalescence® Take Home Whitening Gels can provide results after just one night; though expect to see results in about a week.

Customized

Opalescence® Take Home Whitening Gels are delivered via customized bleaching tray. Dr. Craig will create this tray from an alginate impression of your mouth; this customization is part of why Opalescence® Take Home Whitening Gels are so effective. You can further customize your experience by choosing from the five formulations and three flavors (mint, melon and regular).

Lumineers

You can take your smile from average to dazzling! Can you imagine having beautiful, straight teeth without wearing braces? Now it’s possible with Lumineers by Cerinate — porcelain veneers that offer a painless way to a permanently whiter and perfectly aligned smile. We can apply these contact lens-thin “smile shapers” to your teeth without any grinding of your natural tooth structure, transforming teeth into a naturally beautiful smile. Lumineers can even be placed over existing crown or bridgework without having to replace them. Many people desire a brighter, cleaner, more attractive smile. If this sounds like you, We will be glad to help evaluate your specific situation and listen to the exact changes you have in mind during our complimentary consultation.

Porcelain Bridges

When teeth are missing, your smile undergoes significant changes. Missing teeth can cause you to chew differently, may cause mouth pain, and as your remaining teeth work to compensate for the loss, gaps and spaces form that only makes the situation worse. A porcelain bridge, custom designed by dentists, keeps your smile aligned and your bite functional. Bridges are anchored to existing teeth on either side of the missing tooth. They are semi-permanent, meaning they can only be affixed or removed by a dentist and are a long-term restorative solution to your damaged smile.

Porcelain Crowns

You can erase years of wear and tear with porcelain crowns. we use a tooth-like crown made of porcelain to restore your tooth after the decay has been removed. Crowns are also used to restore chipped teeth, broken teeth, gaps in teeth and other damage. Also called “caps,” porcelain crowns mimic natural looking teeth in shape and color.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Are you embarrassed about your smile because of decayed, disfigured or discolored teeth? You may be a good candidate for composite resins, also known as tooth-colored fillings or restorations. When the decay has been taken out of the tooth, it is replaced with “filling” material. In the past, amalgam (silver) fillings were placed into the cleaned out portion of the tooth. With new advancements in dentistry, you can now have tooth-colored fillings instead of silver fillings resulting in a longer lasting, brighter, whiter smile. The new tooth-colored material is bonded to the teeth for a stronger restoration.

Bonding

Bonding is a tooth-colored material applied and adhered to the surface of the tooth, often without reducing the structure of the tooth. The bonding material is sculpted by your dentist so that it resembles a natural tooth, correcting chips, and broken, stained or discolored teeth and in some cases correcting gaps. It is less of an investment than veneers but like a natural tooth, the resin may stain with the use of coffee or other staining foods.

Gum Contouring

Do you see a lot of your gum tissue when you smile? Many people with “gummy” smiles do not know that there are treatments available to cosmetically enhance the look of your gums. We can re-contour the appearance of your gum tissue. With the addition of beautiful porcelain veneers, your gummy smile disappears, revealing a bright, youthful smile that looks natural and proportioned. The entire process takes just a few visits and because of advancements in cosmetic techniques, your comfort is assured. Call us and begin transforming your smile today!

Restorative

Your smile today may not be as brilliant as it once was. Years of wear and tear, injury, or poor care can hurt the look and function of your teeth. We change lives every day through restorative dentistry. Rejuvenate your smile today!

Implants-Restoration

Are you missing teeth? Have you postponed getting a bridge or denture? Do you wear ill-fitting, loose dentures right now? We want to improve your quality of life with dental implants.

As the prosthetic that most closely mimics nature’s design, dental implants serve as substitute tooth roots. Each implant is strategically placed in the jaw, where bone integrates with it to create a solid foundation for a crown, bridge or denture. With proper care, dental implants can last a lifetime.

Benefits of Dental Implants:

  • Promote bone retention
  • Eliminate slipping, loose, wobbly dentures
  • Don’t require support from healthy teeth
  • Can last a lifetime
  • Look, feel, and function like natural teeth

Implant Supported Dentures

While typical dentures shift and require the use of denture adhesives to keep them in place, implants fit solidly, reducing the problems associated with traditional dentures such as gum sores, difficulty speaking and difficulty chewing. Implant supported dentures distribute your biting pressure more like natural teeth than traditional dentures, stimulating the supportive structures of your teeth and preventing the bone and soft tissues from shrinking away. You can replace an entire set of teeth with beautiful, natural-looking implants.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are used if you have several teeth missing that cannot be corrected with a bridge. A partial denture is created to replace those teeth. The partial denture is removable and designed to fit comfortably and blend in with any remaining teeth. This type of denture is made from a synthetic material that is supported with a lightweight metal. It mimics your gum tissue and teeth to create a natural looking smile while still remaining functional. The partial is important once the teeth have been removed to preserve the bone and to keep existing teeth from tilting and growing in towards the gaps.

Porcelain Crowns

As you can erase years of wear and tear with porcelain crowns. We use a tooth-like crown made of porcelain or gold to restore your tooth after the decay has been removed. Crowns are also used to restore chipped teeth, broken teeth, gaps in teeth and other damage. Also called “caps,” porcelain crowns mimic natural looking teeth in shape and color.

Porcelain Bridges

If you’ve lost a tooth, a large gap in your smile can create significant problems for your dental health if left uncorrected. Gradually, your bite pressure may shift to other parts of your mouth to compensate for an inability to chew efficiently in the area of the missing tooth. Neighboring teeth may begin to move into the gap resulting in discomfort, pain and more problems in the future. After some preparation of the two neighboring teeth, crowns are created for them. A prosthetic tooth, or pontic, is fused between the crowns. Fixed bridges literally “bridge the gap” in your smile. We create a functional, life-like bridge to correct your smile, restore your bite and alleviate your discomfort.

Root Canal

Damage to the nerve tissue inside of a tooth sometimes requires a root canal procedure. Despite the tales you may have heard regarding the procedure, most root canals are minimally uncomfortable, especially compared to the pain and discomfort you may be feeling before the procedure. We take advantage of advances in technology and dental techniques that make root canal procedures more effective while taking less time.

A root canal involves removing the soft tissue within the tooth – the pulp – when it has become infected and inflamed. Your dentist gently files the infected tissue out of the root canals of the tooth (this is where the procedure gets its name) and fills the void with an inert material. The procedure is completed with the placement of a filling or in some cases, a crown.

Tooth Extraction

Every effort is made to keep all your teeth, as it is always the best and preferred solution. However, sometimes extracting a tooth is the first step toward reclaiming your oral health. By extracting a tooth, we can remove a source, or potential source, of infection or discomfort. Removing a tooth is also sometimes necessary as a solution to problems with tooth spacing and bite function. In our expert care, trauma, pain and healing time are minimized.
